Mosquito's notoriety as a transmitter of diseases such as the dengue posed great risk to humanity's health. Since rain barrel water is one of the potential breeding ground of mosquitoes, household must be adept enough to know the responsibilities of proper usage, storage and maintenance of rain barrels.

This is something worthy of remembering. It wouldn't be helpful then to spray them with water-based mosquito repellant? That would be another issue with sleeping aside from the bed bug bite syndrome some people have to deal with.

Good information. Then, maybe it is good to use water-based insecticides for food in order to eliminate the chemical side effects to plants.

I am not a big fan of the rainy season, because that's the time when mosquitoes buzzing around and wakes me up in the middle of the night. I’m a light sleeper that’s why I hate disturbances when I sleep, I even bought my ear plugs just to give myself a good sleep.
